Verse 1:
Let me tell you about Keisha, born eleven days after Easter
Perfect mix of her mom and pops' features
In fifth grade her situation got thick
Came home from school saw her momma's face bleeding cuz she got hit
Took a couple punches to the nose but she said she deserved em
Daddy had a bad day I shouldn't have disturbed him
Time passes, momma still getting hit, her face still getting stitched
But she still didn't split
Now Keisha's confused, she's 16 with an anger problem
Lashing out at teachers in school
Not a surprise, she just started messing with a kat that's known for spazzing
out on chics, putting knots on their eyes
Keeping her feelings bottled inside it hurts, thinking back to all the Sunday mornings
she was sitting in church
She drops to her knees praying, and when she lays down to sleep she can hear
God's voice in her ear saying

Chorus: Let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, breathe in one time Let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, breathe out one time Let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, breathe in two times Let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, breathe out let it go

Verse 2:
Please allow me to introduce little Roger, a short chubby kid
that got abandoned by his momma
In and out of foster homes, changing schools frequently
And he ain't treated equally, with any sense of decency
Recently he started skipping, cuz his mind was scarred from living
in fear of some kats at school that started tripping
He wanted help but nobody would listen, he was quiet by nature
Extremely brilliant but yeah a little different
Clothes kind of raggedy, hardly ever smiled cuz his whole life was tragedy,
pain, and more tragedy
Steady numbing his feelings, he just wanted a home and a family
but the odds were like one in a million
It's amazing he survived for so long, plenty of times he wanted to quit
Something made him decide to go on
Inspired by the doubters, to all the little Rogers in the world
Just know it's somebody thinking about ya

Verse 3:
Last but not least I introduce to you
The amazing, the talented, the beautiful
Miss Jones, an alcoholic whose been sober for two weeks
Spent half her life bent over toilets
Hurling up liquor with a weakness for Tequila
Specifically Patron goes to her head quicker
She said life is stressful, so a bottle every night helps her deal with it
Wasn't really bragging just being real with it
So her baby brother J.J. expressed his concern, told he loved her
and took her down to AA
In the car she started crying saying she was worthless
Thirty years wasted on this earth without a purpose
She walked into the room, shamefully took a seat
As the group leader smiled and calmly started to speak
I'm glad that you could join us sister, let us pray
The past is history your new life starts today just
