The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada on August 8, 2012 at the Port-Royal Habitation. The festivities were sponsored by The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal. Guest Speaker was Dr. Christopher McCreery, Private Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia and Executive Director of Government House. Other program participants included Town Crier, Peter Davies, and his escort, Valerie Davies; Warden of the County of Annapolis, Reg Ritchie; Mayor of Annapolis Royal, Philip D. Roberts; Brian Dickinson, Brenda MacDonald, Wayne Melanson, John Wooler, Lorna McLagan, Durline Melanson and Alan Melanson. Members Sylvia Yeoman and Peter Nicholson were also recognized for their Order of Canada awards. Music "O Canada" and "God Save the Queen" by the Central Band of the Canadian Forces.
