Keiler Roberts - College of DuPage Visiting Artist Lecture
Keiler Roberts teaches comics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband, daughter and dog. The Comics Journal said of her recently published third book, Miseryland, that she “captures human nature in all its quirky contradiction.” Her Ignatz-award nominated autobiographical comic Powdered Milk can be seen at www.keilerroberts.com. She recently spent time in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a solo exhibition in The Naughton Gallery. Her five-year-old daughter has cupcakes on her mind.
The College of DuPage Visiting Artist Series provides opportunities for the community to engage with leaders in the field of contemporary art, design, and culture. Through lectures, conversations, and workshops a diverse range of art professionals offer students with new perspectives on contemporary artistic practices. The series is hosted by the Fine Arts program in collaboration with the Cleve Carney Art Gallery.
The Visiting Artist Series is made possible through the support of the College of DuPage Foundation.
