A video tutorial/advisory from Adam Gussow. How to play a lowdown blues harp riff (on a B-flat harp), followed by some live action performance/woodshed video with Gussow on amplified harp and percussion.
In the middle is an advisory: If you're a fan of Gussow's YouTube blues harmonica teachings, you can now purchase ALL of his YT videos--including those no longer visible in Europe due to copyright violations--by visiting the following links. The first is for the COMPLETE video archive of Gussow YT videos: 196 in all:
For gearheads: Gussow plays off-the-shelf Hohner Marine Band harmonicas. He's blowing through an early 60's Premier Twin-8 and a Kay 703, also from the early 60s. For the past twenty years he has used a Shure PE-5H hi-impedance mic and a Boss DD-3 digital delay pedal. In this video, as usual, Gussow mixes lip-pursing (on the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 draw) with tongue blocking (on 14 draw, 25 draw, and 36 blow octaves).
