Running the DBAL-I2 IR Laser (Class 1, eye-safe and "civilian legal") at 100 yards for the first time. I wasn't sure how it'd perform since it's not very powerful (only .07 mW), but it actually worked fantastically! Much better than expected and blew away my expectations!!

When adding IR illumination, like my SureFire M952V 120mW IR Weaponlight, it does slightly wash out the laser dot at this range, but not nearly enough to where you have any real trouble seeing it. My camera isn't ideal for low/no-light recording though, and it almost completely washes the dot out when viewed through my Flip video cam. A full-powered illuminator though, like from a Class IIIb PEQ-2A/15/15A MFAL, or "Da Torch" illuminator from TNVC, will definitely wash the laser out downrange though.

All in all I'm very satisfied with the DBAL-I2 visible and IR aiming laser unit! For those interested, I'd highly recommend buying from TNVC, they're great guys and can answer any and all of your questions about this and other night-fighting (and/or hunting) products they sell!
