Broadening your horizons.

After a long season of guiding, myself (Mike Kirkpatrick) and Hans Kreuer, felt the usual urge to get out on a road trip and catch a few ourselves. This time though, the pull to explore something completely new was irresistible, and a plan was made to head to the deep South of New Zealand's South Island. What a trip it was too, with a relaxed and and carefree attitude, combining with some breathtaking angling to be a trip for the ages. Fish were caught on small dries, emergers, heavy nymphs and even a crazy selection of big colorful nymphs of all sizes and shapes. Enjoy and please feel free to comment - i'll do my best to reply.
