Just a week before his last game on senior night, Free State High's beloved star player Eric Watson suffered a devastating injury, tearing his achilles tendon. He was hoping to finish his career on a high note in a clash with Free State's biggest rival - LHS. The two coaches Chuck Law and Mike Lewis decided to do something very unconventional and allow the senior to start his last game even though he couldn't put any weight on his foot and was wearing a protective boot. It was a classy gesture and an unforgettable moment that reminded us what highs school athletics should be all about. Kudos to the two coaches, the players, the schools and everyone involved.

I feel sry for any of those that don't understand this as being sportsmanship. "It's not if you win or lose, It's how you play the game"  Class & respect are the best skills you could ever exhibit when representing your sport.

r.i.p to my ear drums u were my favorite when i listened to music 3-12-16
More class shown here in this game, than is seen in many, many others across these United States. ALL the players, Coaches, and the Cheerleaders of BOTH schools should be commended, as they ALL exhibited what it means to be a POSITIVE role model for future players and Cheer leaders. I do salute them all.

+Alec Velasquez i have to call it out the Eric Watson did a very UNSPORTSMANLIKE gesture right after tip-off. He immediatel TURNED HIS MUTHAFUCKIN' back on the gracious LHS team who provided this special moment for him. Watch and see how the LHS players have run up to him from behind to congratulate Eric as he quickly walks AWAY from them after the tip-off .. not once acknowledging the other team 0:57 ... what a douche bag!
