The FSU Marching Chiefs continued their status as a World Renowned marching ensemble when they played for the London Monarchs football team for the World Football League.

This performance was on May 4, 1997, a mere three days after the British General Election that year that elected Tony Blair as the first Labour Prime Minister in almost 20 years.

Yes, I was marching with the Chiefs and am in this performance.

**Thing to notice** The English are not as fanatical about American football as they are "soccer." If you notice, the football field is short a few yards in the middle. We were informed a few moments before the game began that we would be missing 2 yards on each side of the 50 yard line. So in essence, the field was only 96 yards wide, not 100.
