The first studio album from musicians Tom Griesgraber (Chapman Stick) and Bert Lams (acoustic guitar), Unnamed Lands is the culmination of over four years of work and is one of the most inspired projects either musician has ever been a part of. Fourteen original tracks tie together with artwork and text to tell the adventures of a North American wagon train journey through one traveler's personal experiences circa 1840. Accompanied by music from the album, this mini-documentary tells the story of how the duo created music in a style that is both new and familiar and could almost be called "Progressive Americana."

A member of the California Guitar Trio, guitarist Bert Lams is an honors graduate of The Royal Conservatory of Music in his native Brussels, Belgium. Tom Griesgraber is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and is know for his solo projects and his work with Agent 22. The two have toured together since 2004.

Unnamed Lands is available at www.thossound.com, iTunes, amazon.com, CD Baby, stick.com, dgmlive.com, spottedpeccary.com and other retailers.

"...an exhilarating, meticulously-crafted audio journey that captures these engaging virtuosos in top form. Highly recommended." - Anil Prasad, Innervisions.

"It's really a dream this duo was able to work on their own schedule to craft such a killer set. An obvious must for acoustic guitar fans." - Chris Spector, Midwest Record

"The album sounds both earthy and otherworldly. Unnamed Lands explores tonal territories rarely covered." - Jay Allen Sanford, San Diego Reader

"I am struck by its sheer beauty and musical sophistication. I'm also very impressed with the whole production - it's a big thing (and an important musical project for The Stick). - Emmett Chapman, inventory of the Chapman Stick

"What an interesting collaboration this is. The range of sounds is quite wide for instrumental work. There isn't a weak piece here." - G.W. Hill, Music Street Journal

"If you love tasty intricate stringed instruments, you're gonna love this. Griesgraber and Lams play together with exquisite skill and the results are ultimately beautiful and resilient. It is rare that we hear an independent release this perfectly executed. This will easily end up being one of our favorite instrumental albums of 2014." - Babysue Reviews

"As a duo, these two virtuoso instrumentalists have a chemistry that can't be faked in the studio, but only comes through extensive touring and rehearsing. Unnamed LAnds is spectacularly produced." - Greg Howard, stick.com
