The song is a Keroac-ian poem about about science and civiilzation using "space" as the canvas. "Outer Space" has always been a concept which we projected our hopes and dreams onto, and sole asks vital questions about what it is exactly we'd be projecting if we ever made it there. An extremophile is an organism that can survive in climates that are hostile and places that it was previously believed that no life could exist and is an apt metaphor for the independent artist in 2013.

The video is a collaboration Circle into Square artist, Big Pauper. To create the video & the effects Pauper built a "Fritz Box" which is a hacked machine to circuit bend video & generate unique textures. Pauper scoured hours and hours of found footage from old VHS tapes, created a collage to complement the song and processed it all through the Fritz box to create a piece that is noisey and beautiful that no digital machine can simulate.
