Bishop David Ricken, of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, discusses his plan for the Green Bay Diocese over the next few years with Michael Marsden, dean and academic vice president of St. Norbert College.
Ricken was ordained a priest on Sept. 12, 1980. His first appointment was as associate pastor to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo, Colo. On Oct. 1, 1996, he was nominated as an official of the Congregation for the Clergy at the Vatican, where he served through Dec., 1999. On July 9, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI named Ricken the 12th Bishop of Green Bay, and he was installed as Bishop Aug. 28, 2008.
