Vincent Rague is currently Senior Financial Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance at the Kenyan Treasury. He is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Catalyst Principal Partners. He also sits on the: Board of Trustees of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF); the Board of GuarantCo (an infrastructure guarantee fund based in London) and the Board of Kenya Airways (one of the few profitable, fast growing global airlines). Mr. Rague has more than 24 years of experience at the IFC and World Bank spanning investments, project and corporate finance and banking in Africa, Europe and Asia. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Property Finance at the IFC and served in a variety of senior management positions, including postings in Istanbul, Turkey as Senior Manager responsible IFC investments in Southeast Europe and Central Asia; and Johannesburg, South Africa as IFC's first Regional Representative to Southern Africa.

This was the keynote address for the 2012 Darden African Business Organization (DABO) Conference, which seeks to provide a forum for companies and individuals doing business in Africa to discuss their work and the growing business opportunities available on the continent.
