Retinitis Pigmentosa AKA RP is one of the main causes of vision impairment and at this point has no cure. (It is caused by a mutant gene) Fortunately there are a number of research facilities around the world investigating ways to facilitate some form of sight for Vision Impaired RP sufferers.
