This was my first attempt to see if my system to get back aboard under my own power would actually work. As a member of the Great Lakes Singlehanded Society, we are required to have such a system. At a higher speed, this would be much more difficult. Under real conditions, I would have been attached to the deck jackline and have to cut the 6 foot teather and attach my 3 foot teather to the jackline running along the hull. I recommend all solo sailors try this exercise on their own boat under controlled conditions
