This video presents results of a new method to animate photos of 2D characters using 3D motion capture data. Given only a single image of a person or essentially human-like subject, the motion of a 3D skeleton can be transferred onto the subject's 2D shape, generating the impression of a realistic movement. Works for Napoleon, a Meerkat, and others. More information about this project at http://www.rwth-graphics.de/publications
