Reel 1 of 4. When Marie Peary Stafford, daughter of famed explorer Robert E. Peary, journeyed to the Arctic in 1932, it was to oversee the building of a monument in honor of her father at Cape York in northwest Greenland.
This footage, highlighted in the Summer 2010 Prologue article "Women of the Polar Archives" by Audrey Amidon, catalogs Peary's pursuit of a monument for her father.
