This video was filmed in the very early hours of Wednesday 23 January 2012 at Battersea Park Adventure Playground, where there has been as occupation since Saturday 5 January to save the much loved and historic Playground which Wandsworth Council plans to demolish.

The video was taken by peaceful protestors occupying the building adjacent to the Battersea Park Adventure Playground - under Section 6 (1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977 - and catches the moment when the police potentially illegally enter the occupied building. The film catches the police and bailiffs entering, you can hear a crow bar being used and the smashing up of the window/building.

Wandsworth council has released the following statement with pictures claiming that the occupiers did this damage to the building (http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/news/art...) as part of its ongoing campaign to smear the protestors. You can see in this video that the room is not nearly as untidy as it is in the Council's pictures.

Do let Wandsworth Council (@wandbc on Twitter) know what you think of them and if you can come down and support the two remaining protestors who've managed to stay in the other half of the building and who Wandsworth Council and Parks Police are now refusing to allow food and sanitary products to be delivered to.

Latest updates and background information on the ongoing occupation to save the Battersea Park Adventure Playground, which started on Saturday 5 January, at http://occupylondon.org.uk/archives/2.... Get involved and help save this much loved historic playground, and prevent Wandsworth Council replacing it with a staff-less santised catalogue bought facility devoid of adventure.
