After a night and subsequent day of heavy rain and thunderstorms (periodically loud enough to shake the house), the Hanalei River flooded the valley and overtook the road and the bridge. Not much was open except for Java Kai and Subway, so after breakfast Jen and I walked around town to survey the situation. I took some video along the way, and since for some miraculous reason we have power and cell reception and high-speed internet still, here are some clips. The dead fish at minute 2 is a puffer-fish. And the wormy things that Jen picks up along the beach looked like tad-poles (salt water tad-poles?).
