Travel, particularly commercial aviation, has changed substantially in the post-9/11 world. One of the most evident changes would be the inception of the Transportation Security Administration, better known as the TSA. If you’ve ever suspected that US airport security is ineffective, you would be correct. Erin Ade weighs in.

Then, Erin is joined by Charlie Leocha – publisher of Consumer Travel. Charlie tells us what he does as chairman for Travelers United and gives us his take on what US airline consumers are complaining about the most these days. He also gives his opinion as a consumer advocate on what regulators need to do to keep the airline industry honest.

After the break, Boom Bust correspondent Bianca Facchinei takes a look at the way the September 11 terrorist attacks have affected the way we pay for air travel.

Afterwards, Erin sits down with Ben Schlappig – blogger at “One Mile at a Time.” Ben tells us how prevalent price discrimination is and which sites employ it the most and gives us his take on how much the TSA costs passengers. Ben, who is a frequent flyer, also gives us a small view into the luxury offering from Etihad. It is beyond anything American airlines now offer.

And in The Big Deal, Erin and Edward Harrison continue the discussion on travel, with Edward’s take on the most important travel luxuries to make for a positive travel experience.

Take a look!
