Yes, I'm alive! I hope you're not too disappointed about me not uploading for so long - I'm so incredibly busy in uni. Here's the German intro of Duckwing Duck, sung by Jürgen Drews. The lyrics are not the most ingenious ones, but "zwo, eins, Risiko" still is the motto of many young Germans. ;-)
Vocabulary and annotations: When someone says "er ist der King" ("he's the king") in German, "King" does not refer to a monarch; it means something like "the greatest". die Dunkelheit - darkness aufräumen - to clean/tidy up. In this context it means "to get rid of sth/so." zwo - two. The more common word for "zwo" is "zwei", but it rhymes with "drei" ("three") and makes the two numbers hard to distinguish. That's why "zwo" is also used. eins - one das Risiko, die Risiken - risk(s) der Vogel, die Vögel - bird(s) der/die Bube(n) - boy(s). It's a common word in the south of Germany and to me it always sounds a little awkward... ahem. die Ente(n) - duck(s). Doesn't come up in this video, but it doesn't harm either. ;-)
I don't own this video! Darkwing Duck belongs to Disney.
