Medication Reconciliation is becoming huge. Medication errors are a constant concern, and reconciliation is a potential game-changer for patient safety.

Medication Reconciliation is also one of the requirements for Meaningful use, as Dr. Ross Martin mentions in his hilarious and informative Meaningful Yoose Rap.

However, Medication Reconciliation can be a huge time sink, and doing it properly is difficult. As a part of SHARP-C, our team from UTHealth, U. of Kentucky, and U. of Maryland seeks to design better user interfaces and user experiences for people performing medication reconciliation daily.

You can also play with a live demo of the prototype (http://jorgeherskovic.net/medrec/MedR...). It currently reads JSON for input. It is fed from a backend that computes medication similarity to propose a potential reconciliation to the user, and group medications intelligently in the UI.
