Transcript:
"Congratulations on getting in to Warwick! I’m Hope Worsdale, and I’ve been elected to serve as your President this year at Warwick Students’ Union.

The SU is an independent organisation which exists to make your time at university as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, and every student at Warwick automatically becomes a member of the SU upon enrolling here. We’re run by students, for students, with a team of 7 elected Sabbatical Officers who look after different areas of our operation.

We’re also a registered charity, meaning that all the money you spend in our outlets and nightclub gets directly reinvested back into services which benefit the student body.

We have over 250 student-run societies and 65 sports clubs here at the SU, providing a host of opportunities for students to make friends, explore existing interests or try something new. Check out the full list online, or visit the Sports and Societies Fairs in the first week of term to find out what’s on offer!

Our Advice Centre offers free and confidential support and signposting on a range of issues from academic appeals to health and wellbeing. If you’re struggling with any aspect of student life, comes and see us – we’re here to help.

We’re also a political body which runs campaigns throughout the year on a range of issues affecting students, from tuition fees and study space to creating a safer and more inclusive campus for all.

There are so many ways you can get involved in the SU – be that voting in elections or referenda, becoming a Course Rep, coming to work in one of our outlets, joining clubs and societies or just enjoying the many services that we offer.

So what are you waiting for? Get stuck in and make the most out of student life – check out everything we do online at warwicksu.com.

We look forward to meeting you!"
