Colin Piggot was kind enough to try the latest version of my Sam Coupe 3d code on a real machine, both at normal speed (at the start of the video) and with his 20 Mhz accelerator board (at the end).
Even without the accelerator, the code is now quicker than it was in the last video, and has compensators so that objects appear to move at the same speed irrespective of the frame rate.
It also now has frustum clipping, so could in theory be called a complete 3d engine. It's not completely optimised yet, though.
The model on display is the Cobra Mk3 from Braben & Bell's Elite.
