Sickels is headed to Happy Valley to play at Penn State next season. This D-end was ranked by all of the recruiting publications as one of the top players at his position in the country and had scholarship offers from most of the top D-1 programs. Playing standing up or with his hand on the ground he is able to explode off the ball and make plays. He can get to the QB and chase down the ball, he has great speed for his size and plays physical at the point of attack. Takes excellent angles and has very good body control, but always played with urgencey. He was the kind of player that high school coaches would scheme to stay away from. Selected to play in the Army All-American Bowl Game, and a All-State selection, he is a impact player.
