This dance took place just outside the RSC theatre in Stratford upon Avon.
Shakespeare co-wrote 'Two Noble Kinsmen' with John Fletcher. The play is unique in the Shakespeare canon as it includes a scene of Morris Dancing.
The scene shows friendly banter and some bickering over places and turns etc. that many Morris dancers would recognise today. This suggests that Shakespeare had a good working knowledge of Morris Dancing.
That this play is set in Ancient Athens though suggests that he did not have the same working knowledge of History.
