We will always love Jr. Death can never separate our memories.

One More Smile
JR, it's hard to believe you're gone and the news really hit us hard. Many of us wanted to be there for the funeral, but unfortunately, some could not attend. We put together a collection of our fondest memories of you throughout the years into a poem. You'll always live on in our hearts. We love you-- C.H.H.S Class of 2004

We'd give anything for just one more smile
Those sly eyes and sluggish grin made everything worthwhile
One more night where we could dance until dawn
One more time to see the hesitation on your face when you asked Leandra out to prom
Remember when you taught Leandra to ride a stick shift?
Or the day you rolled up by Michelle and Vanessa with your clique
Uninvited, we must add
But it's the fondest memory of you that they have
One more performance, just you, Deanndria and Shelly in the steel band
We'd trade it all to stop the clock's hand
But time and tide, they wait for no man
One more time you and Donella will take a stroll on the beach
She'll tell you her deepest secret, because she knows you will keep
One last time, she'll say thanks for listening
And don't get swell headed as usual, we're just reminiscing
One more time we'll take a walk down memory lane
Chucky, Phat Boi, Piggy, Enrico and Devaine
We'll go rollerblading and sneak in Tony Cabony's pool
Then hide out by Kishanta's window after school
Man we were straight fools
Even though we weren't conceived by the same mothers
You were our down to Earth, always got our back kind of brother
Never had to ask you to borrow a dime
'Cause when you saw a need you stepped in right in time
So we'll just savor the moments that we shared
And squash all the beef that separated us through the years
(Cause Lord knows, we wish you here)
You were our homie, our brother, our friend
God curse the day we watched your life end
Let's go back a few years, I.P.P.S 1998
You and Demarco fixed the school's computer, and they thought you all were GREAT!
Okay, fast forward now to 2003
You and Nishka, C.H.H.S, Ms. Williams, O.P.
Man we thought those lectures were boring
But Crystal would sit through class again to have you here, even if ya'll two get caught with mp3s on snoring
Let's kick it one more time just us guys
Still can't believe that news, caught us by surprise
(Who would have thought it would end in one ride?)
Rod's still calling your phone, waiting for a response
They told him you're gone, but your life had just begun
We were supposed to grow old
Why'd you go without saying bye, man that's just cold!
Tomorrow will meet these tears on our faces
Because deep down we really want to trade places
Can't believe you're gone before our ten year reunion
We had planned to see you roll through in the 2014 Lincoln
Another classmate gone, another year's passed
So we cherish the moments we shared with them last
Now we lay them down to sleep
We pray dear Lord our friends to keep
And if we should meet again some sweet day
We pray Dear Lord, our pain to take
