The UK's economy is in desperate need for innovation in order to re-build and to become competitive in a global market. With the internet playing such a vital role in the global market, it is disappointing to hear reports that the UK's biggest companies are running their website 27% slower on average than US competitors.
This news is particularly relevant as Google have recently drawn much attention to the importance of website speed for user experience.
With this in mind the Building Online Britain campaign has been launched in order to improve the UK's infrastructure and understanding of the internet. Not only does Building Online Britain offer valuable information such as the "Seven Steps To Online Success" report and the "Funky Pigeon Speeds To Success" case study but it also aims to launch the UK's online growth by offering a £1million fund for online businesses.
