CINCINNATI (Hannah Jones) -- The Bengals still have about 8,000 tickets to sell to avoid a blackout of Sunday's playoff game against the Chargers. But on December 31st, a former Bengals player made a rather large gesture on Twitter that could take care of everything. In response to a tweet from Cincinnati Enquirer writer, Joe Reedy, about the Bengals stating, Unless the rate of daily sales increases, we will not achieve a sellout, Chad Johnson tweeted, I'll get the rest. After almost 300 re-tweets one fan asked if Johnson was actually going to buy the tickets. He responded that he would be in touch with Jeff Berding, Bengals Director of Sales and Public Affairs, once back in Miami. If Johnson does purchases the remaining 8,000 tickets to Sunday's game the total bill would come to over 900,000 dollars.Chad Johnson played wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2001 to 2010.
