This second volume of George Balanchine works danced by New York City Ballet includes three complete ballets: Concerto Barocco, starring Diana Adams, Tanaquil Le Clercq, and Jacques d'Amboise; Pas de Dix, which features principal dancers Maria Tallchief and André Eglevsky; and Agon, a work Balanchine and Igor Stravinsky created for NYCB in 1957. This historic performance -- introduced by Balanchine himself -- includes original cast members Diana Adams, Arthur Mitchell, Todd Bolender, and Roy Tobias.
