THE ACTION ELITE: Explosive... Weapon of Choice makes the most of its low budget with some great fight scenes, a memorable villain and a cool hero....and definitely worth a watch.
CITY ON FIRE: Kang delivers the goods to martial arts film junkies...The film’s action choreography – which showcases Wushu, Sanshou, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Hapkido and various MMA techniques – is tight, authentic and handled with grace and style.
ASIAN MOVIE PULSE: The movie might not be a big budget Hollywood type but believe me just the talent alone in-front and behind the camera makes up for all that. Fist 2 Fist 2: Weapon of Choice is a good watch, so wait till the DVD comes out...and make sure you grab it and support these very talented movie makers., i really hope there is a third movie.
FLASH-BANG-MOVIE-REVIEWS: Jino Kang continues to impress as an actor and screen-fighter. This is most exemplified during the film’s huge finale. This in part goes back to Banducci’s planning, who has hired as much muscle to protect his deal, giving Jack a veritable gauntlet of fighters to work his way through to reach Jaime. There is some great fight choreography here, with fights involving hand-to-hand, knives, swords (Chinese and Samurai) and even machine-guns, each encounter being more deadly than the last. That choreography is captured by steady hands, at a decent distance from the actors to fully show off their skills. The knife skills are impressive, reminiscent of Man From Nowhere, but the standout sequence for me is the swordplay scenes.
SYNOPSIS: He was so good at what he did - so quick and so invisible - they called him "The Ghost". He struck and he vanished, leaving only the dead to remember him. But Jack Lee wanted no more of that life and also vanished from his clients, including the crime boss Banducci, who had much use of Jack's skills. To leave Banducci once and for all, Jack worked a deal for one last hit, to settle all scores. He kept his part of the bargain. But years later, Banducci breaks his promise, kidnapping Jack's niece, Jaime, to close another, even darker kind of deal for his personal benefit. The Ghost has one more score to settle before he can rest in peace again. And whether he lives or dies now will depend on his weapon of choice.
