In a recent Techniques and Resources article in Development (Vol 143 Issue 24) Diana Laird and coworkers employ confocal microscopy to image the uterus before, during and after fertilisation. Their technique promises to help uncover molecular pathways and tissue changes that contribute to successful implantation.
