Slashing or scoring dough is easy once you have some confidence! Find out how to slash in several ways for Sourdough and Artisan loaf style breads.

Always start with a very sharp blade. It helps to wet the blade before slashing and rinse the blade when you are finished as the acidity of sourdough will dull the blade quickly.
