Chancellor of Soul, Mike Boone presents a masterpiece soul classic from the
icon of R&B & Soul, Wilson Pickett 'I'm A Midnight Mover'. Composed by
Wilson Pickett and Bobby Womack in early 1968, 'Midnight Mover was recorded on March 4, 1968 and hit No.6 on Billboard's R&B Singles chart,
the week ending July 27, 1968.

Pickett recorded 17 compositions written or co-written by Bobby Womack as
he experience a backlash in the industry because of his marriage to Sam
Cooke's wife Barbara. When radio programmers refused to feature any of
his music on their stations, Womack said in a interview that someone suggested that he channel his energies ( or songwriting) through Pickett.

Pickett charted two of Bobby's classic compositions, 'I'm In Love' and 'I Found
A True Love' in 67' and 68'. Bobby later recorded 'I'm A Midnight Mover' and
featured it on his 1st LP 'Fly Me To The Moon' released in 1969 on Minit
Records, a label he signed with in 1967.

Wilson Pickett's 'Midnight Mover' LP hit No.10 on the R&B LP's chart, the week
ending Aug 24, 1968.
