*** july 2013 note*** Wow this video is old already.. The whole slope has been gladed and the lifts been extended another 400 feet. The wireless controls have been changed and updated the hook system has been changed slightly. This year we are building a shack for the lift so it won't be as portable but quicker to get set up. The controls will probably get updated again and a whole lot more run cutting will happen again. Hope to have a new video up this winter with lots of new things to show. Last winter was epic with the new runs and a big thanks to Kootenay Mountain Culture magazine

When I was just a kid I used to dream of building my own lift someday so now we have this home built ski lift. Oddly enough the same kid I sat in the snow with back then helped me build this. It's hard to tell from the video (that makes it look like a golf course) but a good part of the lift line is steeper than 45 degrees. Since we are still testing we haven't extended it to the full hill yet. Its about 800 feet long and about 350 feet of vert. We expect to add Another 500 feet of liftline and 210 feet of vert. for next year.
