Arlee High School students create a spoken word, photography, and music project representing their interpretation of Debra Magpie Earling's novel Perma Red.

Artists' Statement:
We as a class hope that when people see this video, they will understand and know that the Salish people still have a rich and alive culture. Also it gives the Salish a secure feeling that our culture is still alive, and that people will see that we as students have a vision and how we understand the texts of the video. Also as a class we hope that people will understand all our points of view and by the music, pictures, and statements in the book we chose independently, they will see how each and every one of us is different, and that we can relate to this project.
