They need regular watering if planted in dry, poor soil. They adapt to any soil and weather. Once they get used to the soil and surroundings, they grow pretty fast. Prune if you don't want it to get out of hand. Fertilize every 2 to 3 months if desired, they don't really need it, they do well either way. Good luck! :)
