Shamar
Night
Arid Sands Act 1

I know no one is going to want to ask for this, so I'll put this up. This is the Werehog stage for Shamar that's required to progress through the game. There seems to be a consensus that this is the worst of the required stages. The reason for this is because the entire stage, with the exception of one portion, is one battle after another.

Of course, this means that it could easily be your favorite of the Werehog stages, if you happen to love the combat and can't get enough of it.

It's a very long stage, but at the same time, it's a very short stage. It's basically the antithesis of the day stages in that while this takes a very long time to get to the end (the hot dog missions give you at least 20 minutes to clear it, as opposed to the normal 10 minutes for all other Werehog stages), but it also doesn't cover very much ground: Arid Sands Act 1 takes you across a short walkway, to a town square, to an alleyway, to another town square, and then a short walk outside of the town where the Goal Ring lies. Of course, battles take place in every region inside the city walls, and there are a few once you get outside as well.

You can barely hear the otherwise awesome music that plays in this stage, since it's almost always taken up by the battle music. There is a little bit of exploration covering an area not used for one of the battles, which is entirely optional. Aside from that, this first half of my coverage of the stage consists of six sets of battles in a row, all of which have multiple waves of enemies.

It's not as over-the-top as Jungle Joyride Act 2 as far as Werehog battling goes, though.

The second half will come later. For now, you can watch the first half to get an idea of what the second will be like.
