TechShop is a vibrant, creative community that provides access to tools, software and space. A playground for creativity, TechShop offers open-access, DIY workshop and fabrication space to entrepreneurs, artists, makers, teachers and students. The studio provides access to over $1 million worth of professional equipment and software. Each facility includes laser cutters, plastics and electronics labs, a machine shop, a woodshop, a metalworking shop, a textiles department, welding stations and more. Members have open access to design software, featuring the Autodesk Design Suite, and comprehensive instruction and coaching from expert staff. TechShop has also developed experience-driven corporate events to bring teams together and STEAM classes and camps to encourage young makers.

Automation Alley celebrated Southeast Michigan’s technology and advanced manufacturing leaders at its 16th Annual Awards Gala, held Friday, Oct. 14 at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle.

As Michigan’s leading technology business association, Automation Alley organizes its annual awards gala — an event that consistently draws hundreds of the region’s most influential leaders in business, government and academia — to honor the accomplishments and growth of the individuals and companies moving Southeast Michigan’s technology economy forward.
