(This video is for Turkeydoodlers, hope he enjoys it!) There are other videos on YT now that feature the other version of this player (the SH18GL), but there are-to my knoweldge, at least-none that feature this model, the ever so slightly scarcer SH18N.

This barely-restored vintage beauty was an eBay purchase in the spring of 2012. I bought it from a seller in Oregon (who mailed it to me here in Minnesota via USPS), and to my surprise, it worked almost flawlessly from the moment I unpacked it and plugged it in! All it needed to work 100% again was a motor cleaning, updated cartridge and a new line-in jack on the left speaker...all of which are easy, standard repairs to a unit of this age and took only a few hours to do.

In this video, I show you the unit and talk about its features; in Part 2 of this series, I play two 45s for you that demonstrate how much ass this 50 lb unit can kick despite it being more than a half-century old with (mostly) original components!
