Valentine's Day Proposal In Philadelphia. Jeremy Kaplan popped the question to Emily Schrag during a dramatic Valentine's Day proposal on the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Orchestrated by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), known for its popular With Love Philadelphia XOXO™ campaign, the proposal included a personalized engagement message in the With Love-style emblazoned on the side of a Philadelphia Trolley Works trolley, a $5,000 Hearts on Fire Acclaim ring provided by Bernie Robbins Jewelers, an overnight stay at the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia and more.
Kaplan won GPTMC's proposal contest by submitting a heart-felt essay about how Philadelphia played a role in his love story. After a gleeful, "YES!," Emily was surprised again by out-of-town family and a serenade by a member of the Philadelphia String Quartet—all of whom jumped off the proposal trolley.
