There's a company in Alaska called MCA Sports that makes exceptionally long rifled adapters for shotguns up to 18 inches long. They include most pistol chamberings but also a few rifle ones like .30-30 and .45-70. The cost of the 18 inch adapters is not cheap though, they sell for $150. I'd love to see GunWebsites investigate some of these super long adapters by MCA as they're the only company that makes a near full length adapter for shotguns and are not well known.

My husband has developed a 12 gauge hard ball ammo round. The round travels downrange with a backspin at an angular velocity almost equal to the forward velocity. Because of the rotational angular velocity, the round is very spin stabilized in flight. Also, we have seen the round burn a hole though "bullet proof" glass and steel plate. My husband used to work for defense contractor in SV and DN, but they not want to develop it further. My husband is beginning to collect many orders for this round......

why not to have rifled barrel inside this adapter ?

truesightgrabber it would still make it a single shot which is useless in real scenarios where you are taking fire...

Over here, they are used for coup de grâce shots in hunting/ roadkill for decades. Not every hunter wants to haul a pistol around all day, or even multiples. So they got an .22 adaptor to kill small predators in their traps without destroying to much meat or hide, but a larger adaptor to kill bigger animals... Also quite common are long adaptors, up to ~25" or so.

TheTransmundane you can practice more yes, but with 22lr.. if you want to practice and improve yourself with a 12ga (in my opinion) you should shoot 12ga.. so i still don't understand the sense of these things, except for money saving.

seems like more of a close range type of thing. the rounds seem to tumble a bit. but neat none the less ;) "liked"
