I find it harder to come up into this pose than standard sirsasana. However, once I get up I find it is much lighter in the neck. I feel more supported and stable.
The correct way to come up into this pose is - both legs straight and together. I am unable to do this yet so I extend one leg up at a time. I need to be more toward the crown of my head, I need to take the floating ribs back while inverted and engage the abdominals to slow my descent.
I do not recommend trying this pose unless you are secure in your sirsasana practice.
