A documentary on the extreme outcome for a New Zealand motor racing team's entry in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill race in Willows, Northern California in December 2011.

I accompanied the race team as cameraman. The team consisted of three drivers who shared equal part-ownership of the car with another two who paid a driver's fee. For support there were four USA team members locally sourced who were a mix of volunteers and paid professionals. The entire team was well organised and exhibited an impressively positive team spirit.

I concur with the favorable comments in the video about the friendliness and support we received from other drivers and management personnel at Thunderhill Raceway Park. The catering and food was great and the helpfulness of the staff and management here was exemplary.

Our guys were close to completing the preparation of a newly acquired Honda Civic to compete at Thunderhill in 2013, but team cohesion became an issue.

Update December 2013: Mounting a Thunderhill campaign for 2014 is a possibility as one of the car owner/drivers may come into a well earned small fortune. Meantime they continue to compete individually in the Honda Cup race series in New Zealand. See http://www.hondacup.co.nz
