Dr. Richard Penney, MD, Interventional Radiologist practicing at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, talks about chemoembolization of liver tumors and how this specialized treatment is used to treat liver cancer and help people qualify for or remain on the liver transplant list. Chemoembolization is not a cure for liver cancer, but is a great tool for controlling tumor size, and used in conjunction with additional therapies or procedures can reduce pain and substantially contribute to prolonged life.
