You must not be from oregon, but a transplant or from a family of transplants. Or you only talk to transplants. no oregonian, NO TRUE native oregonian calls it "soda". We ALWAYS call it "pop." Also no one uses the term roly poly its ALWAYS potato bug in oregon. There must be a wave of transplants migrating to oregon who are changing our language of NO ACCENT english.

you have kind of a flat face, as though you could be of feline origins. That's not meant to be a negative, it's just an observation. I know a great many cat people

potato bug, we never called it a roly poly and am born and raised in OR. Soda is soda, the only time I might have called it pop or soda pop was when the Pop shoppe was here in the 70's. I call the rainy sunshine spring, usually.
I live in Oregon, and everyone I know calls it "soda". I'm from Gresham, which is like right next to Portland.

My family is from Hillsboro, Ore. I'm from Okla. I've lived here for over 35 years. My family calls the bug a potato bug. Okies calls it a rolly polly. My family also calls a blanket a cover. They don't call blankets covers here in Okla. My sister calls pop soda but I call it pop.
