KKOL-ISRAEL radio recording of a live concert , August 1955 at Jerusalem's YMCA. One of the only recordings left of the legendary pianist Mordehay Simoni . Winner of the first Arthur Rubinstein Competition at the age of 22. After a tour of some of the world's major concert halls, including the Musikverein of Vienna, Brussels Conservatoire and Wigmore Hall (Jan 15th, 1962), Simoni stopped performing. He was 26 years old. Ami Maayani is conducting the Gadna orchestra in this beautiful performance
