This is the unedited footage from my helmet cam of the Frozen Hog Winter Mountain Bike Race at Lambert Park in Alpine, Utah, on Saturday, January 29th, 2011. This was a cross country snow race that started in about 23 degree weather with a Le Mans running start followed by 2 laps of the main course. The total biking distance was about 5.25 miles for the expert categories. I raced in the expert 18-29 category. I got into 1st place while running and held it through the initial downhill on my bike, but then my 5 hours of sleep caught up with me on the uphill. It was an extremely fun race - perfect winter riding conditions. I raced on a Niner RIP 9 and took 2nd in my category, 4th overall.
