sorry but i don't agree with excessive arching. it basically an illusion on bench. the excessive arch also risk more on injury and doesnt give much on your lifts. a slight arch will be fine because it gives you more that an excessive arch.

Nathan Rumancik and as you can see her butt is off the bench. Whatever she benches a loooot now

+Calvin Chow I take that back then, I completely agree with you. Although I HAVE seen recent videos of her and she seems just fine. But 10 years from now? Not so much. Still, she is astonishingly strong.

+Led Zep I wasn't dissing the fact that she was Power lifting for a 1 rep max. A slight arch is fine but that arch is legal but that would fuck her back up. Watch her newest videos and you will see why

that arch cant be good for her holy shit dont do that

What she does with her back is a legit technique, though hers might be a tad extreme but its not bad for her back. If you watch closely, you see all the weight is concentrated on her upper back which stays completly still through the exercise. I think power lifters do this to make sure your arms dont go too far down which causes alot of stress(streches it too far i believe) on your chest. I am by no means an expert on this, i just work out a few times a week, and i have a few friends who do something similar.

MrMazvaz THAT IS NOT PROPER FORM. YOU DO NOT BREAK YOUR BACK!
Tundra
she's not doing it to protect her shoulders, she's doing it to make the lift easier. if she had her back flat on the bench she sure as hell would have a harder time.

She should be a contortionist.

she bends her back like that so she only has to do like 1/4 of a rep
