India-based B-24 Liberators of the 493rd Bomb Squadron, 7th Bomb Group, 10th Air Force, drop radio-controlled Azon bombs on Pegu-Martaban Railroad bridges on January 11, 1945. A bright flare on each bomb's tail allows it to be followed by eye to the target. The bombardier operates a toggle to move the Azon's tail fins and thus guide the bomb's path with great accuracy. Photography by 10th AAF Combat Camera Unit. Source: Record Group 18, CS 3061, National Archives II. Copy from original film converted to VHS then to VCD.
