Watford reach their third ever Fa cup semi final with a 3-1 win at Highbury in March 1987. The game was surrounded in some controversy because the appointed referee had sent off Watford goalkeeper (Tony Coton) in the corresponding league fixture earlier that season. Graham Taylor tried to get the FA to change the referee..but in hindsight he was probably glad that they dident because of him awarding Watford's third goal, having ignored a call from his linesman.
